The Town of New Shoreham is the recipient of the Outstanding Comprehensive Plan Award by the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA) for the New Shoreham Comprehensive Plan adopted by Town Council in 2016 and approved by the State in 2017.
Shirlyne Gobern, Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager, and Alison Ring, Town Planner, received the award on behalf of the Town during the APA-RI awards event on January 11, 2018, at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket.
