Sunrise Wind
Sunrise Wind is the third and largest of the Ørsted-Eversource projects off the coast of Block Island in the permitting pipeline, producing 924MW (600,000 homes) for New York. Sunrise Wind is 16.7 miles off the coast of Rhode Island and consists of up to 94 turbines standing 968 feet tall. The project is expected to be operational by 2025.
The Record of Decision for Sunrise Wind is currently scheduled for December 4, 2023.
