Co-Ed Softball League
Summer Softball league.Play begins mid June through August. Limited to 4 teams. No more than 15 players per team, minimum of 10. Coed play. Slow pitch. Form your own team or contact the office to be placed on a team. Ages 16+

4v4 Beach Volleyball League
Have fun on the beach this summer! Play begins mid June through August .Get a team together or contact the Recreation Department to get on an existing team. All games will be played North of Fred Benson Town Beach. No more than 6 players per team and no more than 8 teams in the league. First come first serve in order to be in the league. Ages 16+
Adult Co-Ed Soccer League
Fast and Fun Soccer! 7 versus 7. Play begins mid June through August .Teams will be designed on your own. If you are looking for a team, contact the Rec Department. No more than 4 teams in the league. All skill levels and abilities welcomed. Ages 16 +
Adult Summer Co-Ed Basketball League
Play begins mid June through August .Teams will be designed on your own. If you are looking for a team, contact the Rec Department. No more than 6 teams in the league. All skill levels and abilities welcomed. Ages 16 +
Saturday Night Futbol
Indoor Soccer at its best! Fun and Fast Paced! Co-Ed. Come get in shape. All equipment will be provided. Beginner to advanced players encouraged. Create your own team that night. Days and times TBD.
Adult Pickleball League
Pickle-ball is a fun game for all ages. Played with a paddle on a court, Pickle-ball is a cross between badminton, tennis, and ping-pong. All Skill levels are invited to play. Equipment will be provided. Sundays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Indoors at the school (December - April) Outdoors at Ball O'Brien park (May - November). Ages 16+
Friday Night Games
No need for video games with this action packed program that will cover a multitude of sports-and games that will keep your child active through the duration of the session. Grades 4 through 6. September - May , Friday nights 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the school gym.
Youth Soccer League
Each day will focus on the skills of soccer and will be applied through modified games. Your child will be introduced to the different skills of soccer each practice. Skill work will be held on Tuesday/Thursday, while games are played on Fridays. Children must be supervised by an adult until their scheduled time
Grades K through 1
- 2:55 to 3:40 p.m.
- 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.
Grades 2 through 3
- 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.
- 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Grade 4 through 5
- 3:00 to 4:30 pm
- 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- 12:10 to 12:40 p.m.
Narragansett League Youth Soccer
In partnership with Narragansett Recreation. 4th and 5th graders travel to Narragansett to compete against off island teams! Practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:55 to 3:55. Leave on the 8:15 boat Saturdays. Return 3:45 p.m. Narragansett Travel soccer registration
No place better to be on Friday night then socializing and being active with your friends in a laid back atmosphere and challenging them to the entertaining activity of the evening. Fridays 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. September - May at the school gym. Grades 7 to 12.
The Rec Center
The Rec Center is a fun and inviting place for Grades 8 to 12 to hang out in a safe and enjoyable environment. 8th through 10th grade students are not allowed to re-enter the Rec Center once they leave the building. The Rec Center has a zero tolerance policy regarding the use of drugs, tobacco, and/or alcohol as well as bullying/cyber-bullying and destruction of property.
Friday and Saturday nights 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm Oct - May.
Dates and times TBD for grades 5 through 7 ec Center.
Players are challenged in a setting to learn the skills and the game of basketball. Times and dates TBD.
Narragansett Basketball League
In partnership with Narragansett Recreation. Participate in Narragansett Recreation Bradford Trowt Basketball League. Transportation provided. Additional activities will take place. Grades 4 and 5. Times and dates TBD.
Spring Little League
Grades K through 5th.Teams will be broken down by grade and skill level to allow for six teams with an even number of players. Younger grades will play off of a tee and everyone bats. Older grades will be pitched to and play three outs. Games will played by time constraints and not innings. Times and dates TBD. Registration form
Children will have the opportunity to interact with their peers in a low organized environment. No children over the age of 5 will be able to participate. Parent supervision required. Bringing your own toys is recommended. Some age appropriate equipment will be provided. Block Island School Gym. Oct - May. Dates and times TBD.
Children will be able to interact with other peers in a low organized setting. Gym will be divided to allow various activities to exist at one time. Some equipment will be provided but we encourage you to bring your own. Majority rules on activity that will take place. Oct-May, Dates and times TBD.
